Light Night 2011 The theme for this year's Dundee City Council Light Night is the intrepid whalers and their lives. Meet the ship masters in the Howff, which will be lit up, and visit the Tay Whale, the biggest Christmas present to ever sail into Dundee. Free to all and no booking required. Past Events
Dundee and Angus Roots Festival 2010 and 2011 Specifically researched presentation and tours were created for this international programme of geneaology activities. Families of Dundee presentation focused upon the men and women who took the roads and miles to Bonnie Dundee and highlighted famous and less well-known names that influenced the character, religion and industries since the royal burgh came to prominence. The related Howff graveyard tour concentrated on the characters who are commemorated within the grounds.
Whalers, Whisky and Matadors This especially devised event was in conjunction with Dundee City Council's Travel Active family day. Three one-hour tours explored the lesser known industries of Dundee.
Light Night 2010 As part of Dundee City Council's festival Scotia Heritage led free costumed tours around the city centre recalling the Christmas celebrations and leisure activities of the past.
Dundee's Merchant city this stroll around the once active northeast corner of the city centre was conducted as part of the annual programme for Dundee Historic Environment Trust.
Winter Festival 2009 At this Dundee City Council inaugural event, Scotia Heritage conducted three free tours around the city centre and Howff graveyard. The tour and costumed guides celebrated the people and achievements that made Dundee a thriving port of industry.

Weatherproof clothing and footwear is recommended for all outdoor events. Booking is not essential for fixed time tours but recommended incase of late arrival. All tours Adults £8 Concessions £6 unless otherwise stated Concession rate is over 65s and 10-16s. Under 10s free on all Scotia Heritage tours
