Travel Active 
In conjunction with Dundee City Council, free tours around the city centre have been designed especially for this family activity day. Eacjh of the three tours will last one hour, cover lots of aspects of Dundee's development from a medieval royal burgh to a centre of industry. Most of the points of interest around the city centre will be visited.

Ecclesiastical Dundee
This one-hour event is an exploration of the religious sites within the city centre.  Your guide will lead you from the medieval to the modern.  Meet the characters, see the architecture and hear of the social conditions that mafe the church pivotal in so many lives.

Howff graveyard
This medieval site has connections to Mary, Queen of Scots and King Robert the Bruce.  Meet the tradespeople and celebrities that turned a royal burgh into Juteopolis.  Discover the fashions and symbols on the memorials that allow you an insight into the lives of others.

Supper and McGonagall

A supper and literary journey through time with a theatrical performance.  The evening celebrates the written word of those associated with Dundee, featuring of course, the verse of Dundee's most celebrated poet, William Topaz McGonagall. 

 

The theatrical performance will be given by a living history actor renowned for his performances at Historic Scotland properties. 

The video of the evening, was rated among the Top Ten for Dundee Channel's February viewing.

Organised by Dundee City Council, Scotia Heritage operated free tours around the  city centre.  This costumed event, designed for this one evening only, celebrated the people and achievements that made Dundee a thriving port

of industry.
